Jo Malone wanted to create an eye-catching direct mail piece for customers and in time for Christmas.

The piece consisted of a 12 page brochure and an 8 page gift guide which was delivered in a bespoke envelope. All three items needed to be in line with their Christmas campaign – “Harlequin”. Each piece would have 19 variants – 3 variants for customers within the UK and 16 versions for customers throughout EMEA.

The design included a chequered effect which was foiled. This initially raised concerns around whether it would mark very easily. However, we decided to introduce an anti-scuff laminate to avoid this. Each language was also coded so that it could be easily sorted for its correct destination.

The client was delighted with the result. The printed pieces complimented the cross-media Christmas campaign making it one of Jo Malone’s most successful to date.

Fashion brand, Hush, release a series of catalogues throughout the year which are mailed to customers.

Hush have a very distinct branding which could not be compromised during any process of the print or mailing, which is why they turned to CPI Colour.

Once printed, this particular issue was sorted and mailed to over 485,000 recipients.
