CPI and International Womens Day

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first gathering supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.

This year’s campaign theme is #PressforProgress:
"With the World Economic Forum's 2017 Global Gender Gap Report findings telling us that gender parity is over 200 years away - there has never been a more important time to keep motivated and #PressforProgress…Now, more than ever, there's a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity… A strong call to motivate and unite friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.” internationalwomensday.com

"Print is historically a very male dominated industry in the UK, however, as the Marketing Manager for CPI UK I can say that it is also an industry that is recognising and addressing equality as an important factor in building a successful business.
I am extremely proud of the fact that we currently have two female MD's at the helm of CPI UK, who consistently rank highly in the Printweek Power 100 and set such an amazing example for women in print. CPI is a progressive company which supports International Womens Day and represents women in print as the driving force they are and will continue to be" - Kelley Farrell, Marketing Manager, CPI UK.

"Our philosophy at CPI is to behave with integrity and treat everyone with the respect they deserve. I am very proud to work for a company that sees the person rather than their gender and know that CPI reap the benefits of this through a fair and progressive employment strategy." Tanya Dunbar, Managing Director for Trade Books, CPI UK.
